The identity of which Mary Colby married John Tewksbury is not certain. In the birth records of Amesbury, there are the following Mary Colbys listed:

COLBY, Mary, d. Ezekel and Mary, Aug. 23, 1737.
COLBY, Mary, d. Rich[ar]d, bp. May 6, 1739.
COLBY, Mary, d. Peter and Mary, July 4, 1740.

The birth before that of the daughter of Philip and Tabitha was in 1724/5, which would have meant a first marriage at the age of 36. It is possible, but unlikely. The birth of the daughter of Peter and Mary was in 1755, which would have meant a marriage at the age of 6, which is also highly unlikely.

Of the remaining Marys, the daughter of Ruggles Colby died about 1740, the daughter of Ezekiel Colby married Benjamin Hoyt, the daughter of Richard Colby married James Cheney and the daughter of Peter Colby married a Mr. Emerson. This leaves only the daughter of Philip and Tabitha Colby as the most likely candidate for the wife of John Tewksbury. It is also possible that Mary (Colby) Tewksbury was born elsewhere and this is completely wrong.

There was a Mary Colby born in Newbury on 5 Sep 1736, the daughter of Hezekiah Colby and Sarah Cole. At this point, she seems to be the most likely candidate

There were no children named Elizabeth Leonard recorded as having been born in Massachusetts in either 1777 or 1778. Therefore, it seems likely that this was Elizabeth's second marriage. Who was her first husband and what was her maiden name? Her death record says her birthplace was Taunton. There was an Elizabeth Harvey born to Daniel Harvey and Silence Cole 22 Feb 1777. However, I have not been able to find a marriage record for an Elizabeth Harvey to someone named Leonard.
